Socialist project for sustainable development of society: theory and practice

The paradigm of sustainable development is a complex symbiotic configuration of conservatism, liberalism and socialism, being tied by a general objective of preserving the global civilization. The mission of socialism is to give a really international and global human scale to civilization. The mission of conservatism is to preserve natural and cultural diversity, save up the peoples and keep the ancestors ’ wisdom safe. The mission of liberalism is to approve the principles of tolerance and moderation, agreement and consensus in designing and achieving the goals of sustainable development. Social and cultural choice of Russia is practical humanism that means free development of an individual, or ‘conscious creativity of people masses ’ (V.I. Lenin). Taking into consideration the current global trend, the author is stating that the key to global crisis of the Russian and the world’s capitalism is the socialist (humanistic) project for sustainable development of society.
