Socialization and upbringing of higher education students in the teachers' assessments

The article is based on the data of the monitoring interregional sociological research «Contradictions and paradoxes of the student youth socialization in the context of the modern Russian society transitivity» (the comparative analysis of the results of the 2006, 2011 and 2016 studies), conducted in the Southern Federal University by researches of Social and Political Studies Center. The data is received among 23 higher education institutions of Rostov-on-Don, the Rostov region and other regions of the Russian Federation. It shows an assessment of teachers' perception of the university socio-cultural environment, their assessment of social and educational work organization, the education characteristics and socialization success. It is an important component of the educational work organization in higher education institutions and of the social, pedagogical and management technologies improvement. Three waves of research showed a tendency to increase the need for mentoring in the period of socialization in the university, which required the development and implementation of adequate approaches to the organization of educational work in universities.
