Social security and the effectiveness of its provision by public authorities in Russia

The article is devoted to the contemporary issues of ensuring social security in the process of performing functions by the state. The author analyzes the specific features of the subject of social security, identifies the main shortcomings of the social security system in Russia, and proposes measures to improve its effectiveness. Since the social sphere operates as a qualitative and quantitative set of social settings, in contrast to other spheres, it attaches greater importance to maintaining stability. In this context, social security is reviewed as a diverse system of the existing opportunities, values and traditions for the survival of society.
