Social function of the Russia in the 10th - 13th centuries

The article considers a social function of the Old Russian state. The author demonstrates connection between the content of the social function and socioeconomic conditions of the state development. The state is to provide the integrity and unity of the country by implementation of the social function. The civilization specific feature of the Old Russia is the actual transfer of the social function execution to the Orthodox Church.
