Social infrastructure of Kazan in 1940-1950's

This article examines the direction of Kazans social infrastructure development in 1940 -1950s; special attention is given to its shortcomings and miscalculations. Under the established administrative command system Kazans nonindustrial subsystems developed along traditional lines, which hindered Kazan from getting an image of a true capital.
