The development of social infrastructure is an important component for the creation of comfortable living conditions in the city. The article is devoted to the study of the social infrastructure of small towns, the differences in services related to education, health, culture, leisure, etc. the Main attention is paid to the degree of satisfaction with the living conditions in small towns, social and psychological aspects. The town-forming and urban factors of small towns are considered. The table is offered as an example on research of social infrastructure of education. A pilot sociological study was conducted.
