The analysis of ‘classical’ (positivism) and ‘non-classical’ (antipositivism) models of social cognition is presented. The similarity of these models is defined in the perspective of the metaphysics of the social - the inherent substantialism, methodological normativism and scientism. The ‘post-nonclassical’ model of social cognition is determined through the rejection of these attitudes. The phenomenological theory is declared as a post-non-classical methodology of social cognition that goes beyond the framework of the opposition ‘positivism-antipositivism’ in social science.
