The merchant estate social mobility in the Yenisei province (the second half of XIX - the beginning of the XX centuries)

The article is devoted to the analysis of the social mobility processes in the merchant estate environment of the Yenisei province (the second half of XIX - the beginning of the XX centuries). The specificity of local dynamics in comparison with all-Siberian and all-Russian ones is researched. The existence of social mobility is considered to be the important indicator of modernization processes, as historical transition along the "preindustrial-industrial" society line.
