Social tension in the region: causes and trends

Despite notable positive changes in the social, economic and political spheres of Russian society, the level of social tension remains quite high. This is evidenced by the data of "dry" statistics, the most indicative of which are an unacceptably high mortality rate and critically low life expectancy, as well as the results of various opinion polls. An attempt to explain the possible reasons for the situation on the example of the Vologda region is presented in this article.
