Social work of charismatic evangelical churches on spiritual and moral development of modern Russian society: case study of Norilsk

This article considers the social work of Russian modern charismatic churches exemplified by the religious organizations of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. It is shown that in the process of social activity, the charismatic churches become an important positive social institution in the contemporary Russian society. By case study of the Glorification Church, the Covenant Church and the Church of Evangelical Christian Baptists of Norilsk, the author shows charity and volunteer work of parishioners and members of local religious organizations on the rehabilitation of alcohol and drug addicts, anti-abortion advocacy, assistance provided to the homeless and released from prison, orphans. The implementation stages of the rehabilitation techniques in the rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug addicts are described in detail.
