Social tolerance: review of the western English-language literature

The article is devoted to the study of the western historiography of social tolerance. The analysis carried out covers works published in Europe and US since 1960s. Within the framework of the article, the historiography of social tolerance is differentiated according to the temporal and problematic principles, which allows structuring a wide variety of thematically related works. The aim of present study is to acquaint a reader with the main trends in tolerance study in western historiography, as well as to present most significant works reflecting this topic.
