Social pollution of the urban environment as a factor of its degradation

The article presents the results of a sociological study of the cities of the Southern Federal District, conducted to determine the degree of social pollution of the audiovisual urban environment. The comparative analysis of the citizens' assessments of certain elements of the urban environment revealed the presence of a wide range of social pollution of the audiovisual environment in the cities of the Southern Federal District: from offensive inscriptions to profanity. A decrease in the value of literary speech and a high level of noise were recorded.
