Social adaptation of the Cossack emigration to life abroad (1920-1930) (on the example of episodes of the life of general A.G. Shkuro)

The article presents the difficulties of everyday life and the tension of social adaptation of the Cossack emigration to life abroad. As a study of the personal picture, used episodes of the daily life of one of the leaders of the emigration movement, General A.G. Shkuro. The tension shown between him and P.N. Wrangel. Some of the emigrant Cossacks returned to Russia. In February - April 1921, 4 thousand immigrants arrived in Novorossiysk and Odessa. The activity of the military chieftain V.G. Naumenko was shown. The article focuses on the example of life abroad of General A.G. as an everyday life in exile. Shkuro, who had to try himself in different professions, the most successful of which was circus art (jigitovka). The path leading to its tragic end is shown. The background of the study presents a picture of the daily life of Cossack emigration on about Lemnos island in other countries. At the end of the article, an ambiguous attitude to the personality of A.G. Shkuro at the present stage was shown.
