Socio-philosophical foundations of the concept of sustainable development in the context of civilizational development

In the article the results of the investigation of two historically established conceptual approaches to the problem of civilizational development are considered: the concept of unlimited space-time development and the concept of the relatively limited space-time of the development of civilization. The author substantiates the necessity to search for a particular model of civilization development which may become the concept of sustainable development.
