Socio-economic differentiation of Russian regions: main trends and formation factors

In this article, the authors, firstly, carried out an objective comparison of the dynamics of various subjects of the Russian Federation according to the “development factors” of the second nature, secondly, they identified trends that determine the pace and level of development of the territory, thirdly, an analysis of qualitative and quantitative indicators, a number of patterns have been identified. The study showed the ineffectiveness of the applied spatial policy measures, the need for an in-depth study of this issue and the search for its solution for the regions that are part of the Russian Federation.
