The article represents the author's reflections about the book of the Mongolian economist and politician N. Bayartsaikhan. The author’s attention is focused on the market reforms in Mongolia, their effectiveness, economic and social consequences, distribution of wealth, property and income. The state's approach to the regulation of social and economic development, budget, tax and social policy is considered.
