Socio-economic factors of self-realization of the inhabitants of the Republic of Tuva in the cultural and educational spheres

The article deals with the conditions of self-realization of the inhabitants in the Republic of Tuva in the cultural and educational spheres. To achieve this goal, the authors have formed a range of intermediate tasks related to the conceptualization of the category of self-realization, the definition of key factors determining the possibility of members of society to realize their potential in the educational and cultural spheres. Basing on empirical data, the authors carry out the analysis of the key characteristics of socio-cultural self-realization identified during the study. A basis of the work is the structural-functionalist approach, as well as elements of the theory of the hierarchy of needs formed by A. Maslow. Based on the principle of primacy of vital needs in comparison with the needs of self-actualization of the individual, the paper conclude that violation of the conditions for the realization of the basic needs of the population acts as a marker of the lack of sufficient conditions for the self-realization of members of society. The article uses the results of sociological studies in the Republic of Tyva in 2019-2022 aimed at assessing the level of poverty of the population.
