Socio-economic conditions of family conflicts: American and Russian research experience

The article examines the socio-economic conditions of family conflicts from the perspective of American and Russian researchers. The authors discuss marital conflicts caused by the financial disagreements. The authors carry out a comparative analysis of the research results, consider the aspect of money in the marital conflicts. The paper describes the differences of the focus of Russian and American studies of family conflicts caused by financial disagreements. American scholars focus on the conflicts in the context of money management in the family, while Russian scholars study the problem of the lack of money to meet basic needs.
