The article discusses the socio-economic conditions of the development of peasant family farms in the Soviet system in the late 60s - early 80s of the XXth century, which can be described as complex, ambiguous and contradictory. On the one hand, the state was forced to take into account objective social needs that could not be met without peasant family farms, and in this connection create conditions for its functioning. On the other hand, these conditions were constantly subjected to various kinds of restrictions and targeted effects in order to ensure the triumph of social forms of economic activity.
