Socio-economic situation of the population in the Republic of Tyva: an analysis of the bases of latent conflict

The article is devoted to the study of the conditions for self-realization of residents of the Republic of Tyva in the context of the socio-economic situation of the population and related latent conflicts. The author pays the main attention to the analysis of the degree of satisfaction of the basic needs of residents, which, according to A. Maslow’s theory of the hierarchy of needs, serves as a prerequisite for successful self-realization. The article presents data showing that the majority of the region's population experience difficulties in meeting their basic needs, which makes it impossible to realize higher-order needs. Economic instability in the region means that most respondents do not have sufficient funds to make large purchases or secure their future. The article analyzes the economic situation in the republic and the degree of its influence on the basic needs of the population; examines the structural and systemic problems that residents of the region face in everyday life; mechanisms and ways of self-realization in conditions of socio-economic contradictions. The author considers how the preservation of traditional culture can affect the process of self-realization and social dynamics. The article uses the results of the authors' sociological research conducted in the Republic of Tyva in 2022 and aimed at assessing the situation in the region.
