The article examines the state and trends of socio-economic development of the First Legoysky nasleg of the Borogonsky ulus of the Yakut district - a typical settlement in central Yakutia. On the basis of archival sources from the funds of the National Archive of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) - household cards of the 1917 agricultural census, which were first introduced into scientific circulation, the author draws the following conclusions. The economic base of the nasleg was the agrarian sector - agriculture and cattle breeding, which were supplemented by fishing and hunting. The features of the First Legoysky nasleg were the low level of socio-economic differentiation of the population, the limited use of hired labor and the almost complete absence of land lease. In the gender aspect, there were slightly more men than women. Most of the adults belonged to the economically active, able-bodied population. More than half of the population was made up of adolescents and children, which indicated positive trends in population change and potentially large labor resources required for a traditional economy.
