The authors consider the socio-ideological models of the meaning of life (worldly, unworldly, middle) in the framework of existentialism, based on which a person chooses his or her own path in life, building a unique axiological hierarchy around oneself. The article notes that some principles of existentialism manifest themselves in the aforesaid models, namely: subjectivity, freedom and proactivity. It is concluded that the existentialist philosophers formulated their judgments primarily in the framework of the middle model of the meaning of life, uniting existence, God and human be-ing in a single field.
