International practice and experience of existing socially-oriented nonprofit organizations shows that the most significant social effect of their activities is achieved through: the use of new technologies; ensuring financial stability; scalability of the results achieved; transparency of operations; and honesty of managers and employees. The authors have shown that the Russian non-profit sector is now an active participant in the social and economic process, which is not only at the federal level but also at the regional level, because socially- oriented non-profit organizations take part in the regional reproduction process, contribute to the implementation of civil initiatives in the region, promote charitable and volunteer activities in the region and implement socially important regional projects.
