Social and psychological characteristics of elderly people as customers of the geriatric pansionate

The article defines the socio-psychological characteristics of older people and reveals the essence of the process of their adaptation to new social conditions. The external and internal factors influencing the adaptation process in the conditions of the geriatric boarding house are theoretically substantiated. The modern psychological approaches to the study of the socio-psychological adaptation of elderly people to the conditions of stationary institutions of the social protection system of the population were analyzed. Socio-psychological characteristics of elderly people as clients of the geriatric boarding house are revealed.
