The general methodological approaches to the study of social and psychological problems of convicts’ pardon are considered. Based on the assessment of the Commission for Pardon in the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, the issue of the need to form a holistic approach to the study of personality by law enforcement, judiciary and public organizations is raised.
