The article is devoted to the problem of maintaining a high level of well-being of workers in the transition to a new model of labor and employment “Work 4.0”. The purpose of the study is to test the questionnaire developed by the author to assess the severity of indicators of social and psychological well-being in workers of different categories. The article discusses the main theoretical approaches to the phenomenon of well-being, as well as approaches to the study of subjective and objective criteria for the well-being of an individual in connection with professional activities. The results were obtained on the basis of a pilot sociological survey of employees of various organizations living mainly in the Sverdlovsk region and the Republic of Adygea. The survey made it possible to reveal the subjective opinion of employees regarding the severity of their main indicators of well-being. The results show that the most pronounced indicators of socio-psychological well-being for workers of all categories are: involvement in socially significant groups, as well as mastery of modern communication tools. The least pronounced indicator of well-being, according to experts and workers, is associated with the ability to take out a loan or obtain a mortgage. For executives, the lowest average values are associated with the possibility of increasing income. The practical significance of the research results is mediated by the fact that in the conditions of the transition to a new model of labor and employment, organizations need knowledge about what indicators they need to focus on in order to improve the well-being of employees.
