Social exclusion of the drug users: sociological analysis

As the author argues, the drug use in Russia is characterized by a certain stability. Drug addiction is the cause of stigmatization of the communities of the drug users and their exclusion from society. Social exclusion concerns not only the drug users but also those who have experience of episodic use of the psychotropic substances. The article is based on the results of the empirical research, aimed to the examination of the drug use practices in modern society. According to the results of the sociological studies one can see the transformation of the social rhetoric in relation to the drug users. It becomes more humanistic.
