The social significance of rural tourism in the context of development in rural areas of the Omsk region

The article discusses the role and importance of agro-tourism as promising areas for sustainable development of rural territories. The authors studied the experience of foreign countries in the development of rural areas of non-agricultural activities, particularly agrotourism and presented the effect of reducing the negative social and environmental impacts in rural areas. Shown subjects of the Russian Federation, which is now actively developing rural tourism. Briefly describes the problems of the village such as the lack of good roads, demolition of the existing infrastructure, the economic crisis in the majority of enterprises in the agro-industrial complex and others, forcing the search for new ways and mechanisms of self-organization of rural areas. The article describes the potential of tourism and recreational resources and formulated directions of development agrotourism in different climatic zones of the Omsk region. It describes the circumstances that contribute to the development of agro-tourism in the Omsk region, stimulating the development of many key sectors of the economy and a generally positive impact on socio-economic development of rural areas. Revealed the socio-economic importance of the development of rural tourism in the context of current development priorities of rural areas of the Omsk region.
