Social meaning of institutional disintegration processes for contemporary ethnogenesis

The article analyzes social impact of ethnical institutions disintegration in linguistic and religious spheres on formation of new ethnic identity and sub-ethnic groups. The author considers ethnicity as a set of ethnical institutions, which reflect normative conceptions regarding ideal behaviour of ethnic groups’ members. An ethnic society appears when reinterpreting ethno-reality there appears common agreement regarding institutions and non-formalized exceptions.
