The social functions of municipal economy in the strategies of developing cities (part 1)

The author considers the problems of modern municipal economy through the prism of its social functions which are reflected in the strategies of social and economic development. Since the main purpose of all these strategies is the increase of prosperity and life standards of city dwellers, the implementation of social functions is the priority task for administrative authorities of Russian cities.
