On the basis of the analysis of Russian and international practice the author investigates the social imperatives of a region innovations marketing. This trend of the territorial marketing is introduced as a complex regional strategy of socio-economic development, intended to stimulate elaboration and implementation of the innovations by the regional economy and policy subjects, which are the creative class representatives.
