Social indicators of economic security of the Republic of Kalmykia

This article is devoted to statistical analysis and research of such important social indicators of the economic security of the Republic of Kalmykia as employment and unemployment. The state of employment and unemployment in the Republic of Kalmykia over the past 10 years (2010-2020) has been analyzed. The state programs for the development of employment for 2013-2024 operating on the territory of the subject of the meso-level are considered. The current system of work of the employment service of the Republic of Kalmykia, the practice of implementing Decrees of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7, 2012 No. 596 - 606, issues of independent assessment of qualifications were studied. An expert survey of the population was conducted and the problems and trends of unemployment in rural areas of the Republic of Kalmykia were identified, for individual districts of the subject. The existing tendencies of labor migration of the population of the Republic of Kalmykia to the regions of Russia, their causes and consequences are studied. It was revealed that the main reasons for labor migration of the population of the Republic of Kalmykia are low wages, lack of vacancies, imbalance in the labor market. The Individual program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Kalmykia was considered and the State program “Promotion of employment of the population and improvement of conditions, labor protection in the Republic of Kalmykia” was analyzed. Based on the results of the study, measures are proposed to reduce the unemployment rate and effective tools for increasing the employment of the population of the Republic of Kalmykia.
