The article presents the results of a study of the profiles of social media users involved in information flows of public discontent. A sociomedia analysis of user profiles was carried out according to the identified well-being clusters of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Based on cognitive mapping of textual content, the author identifies social areas that cause varying degrees of dissatisfaction. The results of the study show the diffuse nature of discontent and the local nature of problems at the regional level, the dominance of role passivity, and the mixed impact of generated content on public sentiment.
