In the present article there are analyzed the main components of social control of deviant behavior that are viewed through the prism of the existing social and cultural characteristics of small town. It is assumed that the special characteristics of a small town, which effects on the development of behavioral abnormalities in adolescence, is the duality of the existing social norms. Close attention is paid to the role of family, educational institutions, as well as neighborhood institution and peers in the control of deviant behavior. The study reveals that public opinion in a small town is a priority tool for the regulation of deviant behavior of teenagers.
