Social and cultural adaptation of foreign students in a Russian university in the context of academic mobility

The article is devoted to the problems of adaptation of academic migrants from Central Asia to the new social, cultural and academic environment of a Russian university. The relevance of the study conducted by the authors is due to the lack of knowledge of the socio-cultural aspects of this process in the context of academic mobility. The article analyzes the stages and major difficulties encountered by foreign students in the process of adaptation to the new living and training conditions. The authors explain what presents the greatest problems for foreign students in a Russian university during the adaptation period and suggest ways to solve these problems.
