Socio-Cultural Development of the Republic of Dagestan in the First Decade of the 21st Century (Using the Example of Theatres and Libraries)

The article examines the main activities of theater groups and libraries of the Republic of Dagestan in the 2000s in the context of general economic indicators. Attention is focused on the positive trends that have emerged in the socio-cultural sphere, which, with the help of the Federal Center and the phased implementation of republican targeted programs, have significantly intensified the cultural life of the republic. Despite the difficulties, the ongoing creative events, including theater festivals, touring activities, exhibitions of new books, and many others, have helped to revive public interest in cultural events. It is noted that by the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century, Dagestan, thanks to great efforts, had once again become a region with significant achievements in the economy and socio-cultural sphere, having formed the necessary potential for their development.
