Socio-cultural values as a factor of Russian political process

The article analyzes the influence of traditional Russian values in the modern political process. The research results indicate that the behavior of the Russians is largely determined by the same core values as 50, so 200 years ago. However, after numerous upheavals and radical changes basic values no longer represent a coherent system and do not constitute the organic unity in the mass consciousness of the Russians. Recognizing the organic conservative ideology for Russia, the authors express doubts about the effectiveness of modern conservative policy. Currently, for Russia the most efficient policy is the synthesis of a conservative, liberal and social-democratic policy. The policy should be based on the traditional core values not for the preservation of society, but for its development.
