Sociocultural features of religious extremism in modern Kyrgyzstan

The article examines the socio-cultural prerequisites and features of religious extremism in Kyrgyzstan. Factors contributing to the radicalization of religious consciousness are analyzed, including the level of education, social instability, migration, and the influence of external ideologies. Special attention is paid to the role of Islamic identity and the transformation of traditional Islam in the context of globalization. Emphasis is placed on the need for a comprehensive approach to countering extremism – taking into account the cultural context, religious pluralism and socio-humanitarian prevention.
