Sociocultural conflict: essence, structure and characteristics

The article considers the essence, the structure and the description of a sociocultural conflict. It is shown how big the difference between corporate conflicts and sociocultural ones is, the latter being an inconsistency of fundamental interests: cultural mind-sets, values, and worldviews in general. The author discusses subject-to-object and subject-to-subject nature of a conflict and its dynamics which includes the following stages: preconflict, confrontation, final and post-conflict. The strategy/type classification of conflict actors' behaviour is analysed.
