Sociological interpretation of the phenomenon of unemployment in the context of globalization

The paper considers the main theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the phenomenon of unemployment in the context of globalization. We wanted to move away from the traditional for the theorists of post-industrialism separation of transformations of the sphere of labor of the late twentieth century into two conceptual approaches: the concept of the 'end of labor' (D. Bell, D. Risman, O. Toffler) and the concept of 'flexibility' (M. Castells, Z. Bauman, U. Beck, J. Rifkin) and to expose the theoretical approaches in a more specific manner.
