Increasing the effectiveness of tactical techniques is one of the investigative tactics tasks in criminalistic theory. An important role in this task is played by investigative situations and their correct definition in the investigation of official violent crimes. The purpose of the research is to determine the nature and the structure of the investigative situation in the investigation of official violent crimes and its dependence on the use of certain tactical techniques.
