Metal contents in Parmelia sulcata from cities of Rzhev-Staritsа Povolzhie(Tver region)

Бесплатный доступ

The gross and average ratio of 20 metals (Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ga, Fe, Li, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Sn, Sr, Ti, V, Zn, Zr, W) was estimated in Parmelia sulcata samples by atomic emission spectroscopy with the inductively coupled plasma (ICP-AES). Lichen samples were collected in the cities the Rzhev-Staritsa Povolzhie. The average concentration of eight metals (As, Mo, Sn, Sr, Cr, Ti, Al, Fe) and gross content of eleven metals (Cd, As, Mo, Ni, Sn, Cr, Sr, Ti, Al, Fe, Zn) in the cities studied were higher than the permission limits for Tver Region. The concentrations of other metals were within the permission limits. The level of anthropogenic metal pollution in Rzhev was the highest. This might be caused by its specific economic infrastructure.
