The article deals with the protective legal relationship as a necessary form, in the framework of which the civil coercion is functioning. It is emphasized that the study of the content of protective legal relationship is an essential condition of the research concerned with the mechanism of coercion implementation against a person who violated another person’s right or who is creating a threat of such violation.
