The paper presents the characteristic features of the first Soviet female gender model in the first stage of its development - in the 1920s. Showing transformations that took place in the structure of the female gender role at the macro-level: in typical activities, social status, the content of the common images of women. The differences in the approaches to the issue of women as an additional resource of military force in the positions of the tsarist government, the Provisional Government of the White movement and of the Council of People’s Commissars. Lighting performance of the Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin on the role of women in the socialist revolution. Described as based on the legal equality of women with men as set forth in Soviet legislation in October 1917 - in 1918, there was reform of the system of marriage and family relations, the implementation of the slogan of the liberation of women from the household, the implementation of large-scale measures to protect mothers and children.
