The notion the originality of the Russian far east nature in the Primorye art criticism

The article is concerned with the phenomenon of the Russian Far East nature, the Promorye art specialists have to deal with when studying the creativity of the local artists. The art critics note a considerable difference between the artistic representation of nature in the works of the artists of the mainland Russia and those of the Far Eastern sea borders of the country. In their opinion, not only bio-geographical factors influence upon the development of the artistic processes, but the history of the colonisation of the Pacific coast of Russia, the country's international contacts, and the cultural memory as well. It is their turning to landscape painting that reveals the individuality of each artist, enables one to appreciate their creative novelties and their contribution into the development of the Primorye art school.
