The contents of heavy metals in tissues of holothurias Eupentacta fraudatrix in Peter the Great gulf

Бесплатный доступ

Data of biennial researches of heavy metals contents in tissues of holothuria Eupentacta fraudatrix in two bays of Peter the Great gulf of Japanese sea, differing on contamination level are presented. Features of distribution the heavy metals (HМ) in various organs of animal are established. Presence of two morphological forms of holothurias, "pink" and "orange", differing by dimensional characteristics and brightness of body painting, ap-parently, caused by the different contents of carotenoids in tissues is revealed. Ability of "orange" morphoform more effectively in comparison with "pink" is revealed to reduce HM contents in a body-wall and gonads. The received results would testify to rather low level of HM accumulation in tissues of holothurias E. fraudatrix in conditions of anthropogenic pollutions in Alekseev bay and much higher fluctuations of HM contents in tis-sues of holothurias in Vityaz bay, connected, apparently, with periodic drift of pollution by waters of the river Tumangan.
