The preservation of the archaeological heritage in Russia. Present situation

The author undertakes the examination of the present situation of the archeological heritage in Russia, current problems of it preservation. The statistics data of the Scientific Council for Field Researches of the Institute Archeology of the Russian Academy of Science is used in this issue. Based on these materials the author marked out the focal points and problems and suggested the ways of their solution, including the experience of the European Council countries. The author demonstrates that there is no unitary list of the archaeological objects in Russia and notes the positive influence of the Archeological map of Russia. The statistics data documents inequality exploration of the different regions. In tote there is absolute salvage work growth around the country. The dangerous tendencies in these processes are connected with decline the professional standards in the organizations, performed the archaeological salvage works. The author suggests keep a closer watch for these organizations and invited experts from institutes of the Russian Academy of Science. The author argues that the broadening archaeological field works is connected with activity of the regional administration, while the volume of building and economic growth are not the primary factors.
