Preservation of the national identity of the Tatar people in the activities of a regional public organization

The article is devoted to the problem of preserving the national identity of the Tatar people in a megalopolis. The definition of the identity of individuals in society is given. The concept of national culture and its influence on human consciousness is considered. The article presents socio-cultural projects implemented by the Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy of Moscow to preserve national identity. Special attention is paid to popularizing the study of the native language, creating conditions effective for creative self-realization of the individual and increasing the level of intercultural interaction based on respect for the national dignity of citizens.
