The conservation of plants biodiversity in the Main Botanical Garden named after N. V. Tsitsin RAS

The rapid reduction of biological diversity on Earth, significantly accelerated since the second half of the XX century, gives prominence to work for the conservation of plant biodiversity in Botanical gardens of the world. Currently, the collection of the Main Botanical garden named after N.V. Tsitsin RAS includes plants 18317 taxa, including 10740 species, subspecies, varieties and forms, as well as 7577 varieties.
