We present the scenario of climatic changes in the 20th century within the model the authors develop which shows solar activity effect on the parameters of the Earth climatic system driving the energy flux leaving the Earth for space in the highlatitude areas. We discuss the regularities of circulation variations in the atmosphere and the world ocean. Special attention is paid to considering the causes of "cold snap" in 1940-1976 in the Northern hemisphere and the nature of abnormal growth of heat content in the Earth climatic system (ocean) in 1969-1980. We show that these phenomena are the effect of circulation changes in the atmosphere and the world ocean (in particular, the change of thermohaline circulation in the Northern Atlantic), the heat exchange between the ocean and the atmosphere and the cryosphere.
